Dear Parents/Guardians,

Welcome to Castlen! As a former Castlen Cub and product of the Mobile County Public School System, it is with great pleasure that I serve our wonderful community, staff, students, and parents as the principal. The staff at Castlen is determined to provide opportunities for every student to work in a product-oriented setting. Teachers facilitate units of study using the engineering design process, implement project-based lessons using the outdoor classroom, and provide technology opportunities in coding, robotics, video-broadcasting, and 3D Printing throughout the curriculum. Every 21st century skill and Alabama College and Career Ready Standard are covered daily through opportunities for transformational learning. The type of instruction we provide engage our students in rigorous, active learning opportunities using varied formats and locations.
As you can see, we have a campus that provides students with rigorous, relevant, and engaging opportunities to stretch their thinking and to fully challenge themselves to reach far beyond minimum requirements.
